Caring for the Caretaker: Effective Strategies to Recruit and Maintain Staff in Dialysis

Joint Session with Renal Healthcare Association (RHA)

Moderator: Bridget, Pfaff, MS

This session will identify unique challenges in sustaining staff in the acute and outpatient dialysis facilities and recognize strategies on developing competence and confidence in the dialysis workforce.  Presentations will focus on hiring, orientation and training, engagement, and retention strategies.  Additionally, the session will discuss the impact the pandemic has had on mental health as we continue to deal with the aftermath as well as identify coping strategies in dealing with future disasters.
